Health in a changing world: towards Global Health
The NIHMP carries on, in close collaboration with international institutions, a number of international cooperation activities aimed at promoting the health care of disadvantaged local population groups. As such, the Institute cooperates with the World Health Organization and other international agencies in the fight against poverty-related diseases in developing countries.
The NIHMP strongly believes in closely collaborating with the migrants’ origin countries and the local institutions. In particular, health activities that aim at reducing child mortality and improving maternal and child health, fighting HIV/AIDS, malaria and other pathologies are always combined with a holistic and culturally-appropriated approach.
