(...) strange enough, water is the most common natural element on the Earth but it is so exploited for strategic, economic and power purposes that its lack or unequal distribution leads to legal, economic and armed conflicts. Rivers that mark the borders between countries, or that flow near them. Well and dam water for answering the needs of a too big population. Industrially processed water serving the economic interests of the few. Water as object of legislative provisions. These represent occasions, often misused, for managing an essential element both for individual and community survival; for reflecting on the meaning of life and on the right to it; for working for values and a worthy and fruitful life for each person living on the Earth (…).
