Prophylaxis measures for travellers: an agreement between the Crisis Unit of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the NIHMP - Photo Gallery

The number of international travellers, as well as their travel-related health problems, especially in developing countries, is ever growing. A journey, particularly towards exotic destinations, involves several health risks; therefore, travellers should be informed about the measures to be adopted in order to reduce the risk to fall ill.
It is with the objective of meeting the needs of travelling people that the Crisis Unit of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Institute for Health, Migration and Poverty (NIHMP) signed an agreement for the creation of a new area on the web site Viaggiare Sicuri that will be dedicated to health safety and international news on travel medicine.

The web site will also offer guidelines on the preventive measures to be adopted before a journey in countries at risk.
