A medical Task Force from the NIHMP is in Ethiopia to work at the new Training and Medical Centre for infectious diseases in Adi Shumduhun

From the 1 of March 2010 until the end of the month, a medical task force from the NIHMP will be in Ethiopia to contribute to the opening of the Training and Clinical Centre for infectious diseases in Adi Shumduhun, Mekele.
They will be responsible for the medical organisation of the Centre and for selecting the electromedical equipment for the new structure.

About the specialised centre
The specialised centre in Adi Shumduhun (Mekele) for the prevention, diagnosis, rehabilitation and treatment of the most diffused local pathologies, with particular attention to infectious diseases, is included in an integrated health support project co-financed by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and implemented by a consortium of Italian Non-Governmental Organisations (VPM, IISMAS and MF), with the partnership of the Tigray Health Bureau and the technical support offered by the NIHMP and the Italian Hospital San Camillo Forlanini.
