The monthly appointment with the 16th INTERNATIONAL COURSE OF TRANSCULTURAL MEDICINE started in January. The course that the NIHMP - San Gallicano Hospital has organised for more than 15 years, has the objective to reflect upon the new individual and collective identities characterising a society looking for new routes and horizons. This year’s subtitle is From Well-Being to Being: Notes on a Changing World.

Result of the meeting will be “notes”, ideas to be verified, proposal to re-think our present and to build our dreamt future.

Doctors, researchers, anthropologists, sociologists, representatives of public and local bodies, teachers, volunteers, members of associations will meet in the NIHMP Conference Hall at the San Gallicano Hospital.

The course provides 6 seminars that will be held on Thursday from 9 am to 2 pm:

31 March Common Diseases for Neglected People: Facets of Poverty
21 April Through the Looking-Glass: Changing Bodies and Gender Identities 
26 May More than Prisons: Possible Encounters Between Perpetrators and Victims 
16 June Non-Conventional Poor People… in Conventional Poverty: New Opportunities to Face Housing Emergency
