Sottopelle (Under the Skin): Cinema and life stories
Second international film exhibition promoted by the NIHMP
NIHMP Conference Hall
Via di San Gallicano 25/a, Rome
Sottopelle (Under the skin):
The Cinema at San Gallicano Hospital
The second international film exhibition organised by the NIHMP “SOTTOPELLE” will be held every Thursday from 8 April 2010 to 6 May 2010.
“Sottopelle” is a free film exhibition centred on the uniqueness of each human being. The chosen films focus on the richness of diversity, in all its manifestations. They speak about the soul of women and men, of their contradictions and pursuit of meaning, identity and freedom.
Based on the “comprehensive health” objectives, which have always characterised the NIHMP everyday’s commitment, the exhibition aims at promoting a new way of perceiving health services among the people living in the area, the youth and the persons attending our Outpatient Department. Our ambition is to transform the San Gallicano Hospital into a place of meeting and dialogue for men and women belonging to different cultures.
After the projection, a time for reflection with “special” guests (film directors, writers, doctors, cultural mediators) is provided. Taking the themes dealt by the film and the emotions arisen as a starting point, the participants will discuss the issues of reception, social inclusion, differences and dialogue between different cultures and generations, even from new and unusual perspectives.
We are waiting for you every Thursday evening from 06:30 pm.
All projections will be in Italian:
8 April – The visitor by Thomas McCarthy
15 April – La bocca del lupo by Pietro Marcello
22 April – Si può fare by Giulio Manfredonia
29 April – Eden à l'Ouest by Constantin Costa Gavras
6 May – Welcome by Philippe Lioret
