Meeting with Migrant Communities in Rome

On 17 November 2008 a meeting with migrant communities in Rome took place in the Agostini Conference Hall of the San Gallicano Hospital, via San Gallicano 25/A.
More than 50 representatives of the migrant communities in Rome took part in the event. The Director General of NIHMP and his collaborators presented the objectives of the Institute, the projects and the services provided for socially, culturally and economically disadvantaged people. During the meeting the cultural mediators of NIHMP made an accurate description of the activities they have carried out for many years now with the public: reception, support, information and education on health care during the diagnosis and treatment process.
The purpose of the meeting was to create and strengthen the cooperation between NIHMP and migrant communities in order to enhance everybody’s dignity and health.

Multiethnic refreshments were offered after the meeting during the performance of Carlos Paz, Ecuadorian musician member of the Orchestra di Piazza Vittorio.
