The 6th edition of “A concert for Ethiopia” was held on 11 December 2009 in the Great Hall of “La Sapienza” University in Rome. The classical music concert was directed by Master Federico Longo and presented by the Italian singer Tosca D’Aquino.
The event was organized by NIHMP in collaboration with IISMAS (International Institute of Medical, Anthropological and Social Science), a non-profit organization committed to medical, anthropological and social research. It carries out a great number of projects and interventions for the poor in Africa, Latin America and Southeast Asia. In Italy, it promotes the diagnosis and treatment of the diseases affecting weak population groups, including migrants, gypsies, prostitutes, victims of torture, asylum seekers and low-income pensioners. IISMAS also organizes seminars, congresses, workshops and training courses for health care professionals and for teachers.
