International Festival on Human Rights
From 24 to 30 September 2010, the International Festival on Human Rights will be held at the “Selva dei Pini” Campus in Pomezia, Rome. The event is supported by the European Parliament and was organised by the Municipality of Pomezia, “La Sapienza” University in Rome, the Scientific Park University Campus “Selva dei Pini” and the High Studies Centre for the fight against terrorism and political violence.
On 25 September, Prof. Aldo Morrone will hold a speech on “L’elogio della Marginalità” (The Praise of Marginality), on 28 September Dr. Paola Scardella, director of the Department for Nutritional Health Promotion of the NIHMP, will deal with food syncretism in her speech “Il cibo come terreno d’incontro fra diverse culture” (Food As a meeting point between cultures).
Prof. Morrone is also member of the Scientific Committee of the event.
